Lent provides us with an opportunity to listen—again—to Jesus. Below are some faith formation activities that you can participate in during this holy season.

Sunday Faith Forums:

“Where is Jesus in Christian Nationalism?” Sundays in Lent from noon to 2 p.m. in Faith Hall  Moderated by Dr. Steve Mann.  Bring your lunch, pull up a chair and listen to what Jesus might have to say about being a citizen of God’s kingdom, as well as a citizen of the United States.

Fizz Bible Study:

Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Zoom.  Give it a try during Lent! No experience necessary and no question is out-of-bounds as we listen to Jesus speak from the scripture lessons for the upcoming Sunday worship service.  The Zoom link is in the eblast every week.

Lent Madness:

On the weekdays of Lent, information is posted at www.lentmadness.org about two different saints. Each pairing remains open for 24 hours as participants read about and then vote to determine which saint moves on to the next round. Sixteen saints make it to the Round of the Saintly Sixteen; eight advance to the Round of the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the Golden Halo.  This is a fun way to learn about men and women throughout Christian history who have listened to Jesus.

A Lenten Series from Monasteries of the Heart:   Saintly and Subversive Women: Brigid,  Hildegard and Teresa

This on-line program includes 9 a-synchronous readings and on-line discussions, and three Zoom sessions (you can watch the recording if you can’t attend live).  Register through www.monasteriesoftheheart.org

 Spiritual Listening Groups:

Join Pastor Nancy and a small group (4 to 6) Trinity Parishioners for a morning of art, poetry, silence and listening for what Jesus is saying to us in this moment.  Please contact Pastor Nancy rector@trinitybuckingham.org or 215-794-7921 for more information and to register.  The proposed time is Monday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. OR when mutually convenient for participants.  Zoom gatherings are possible.
